A place for my study thoughts
Hi everyone!
I wanted to start recording some of my study thoughts. Obviously, not all of them as some personal study concepts are so personal that it is best not to share them. But, some should be shared and recorded and I hope used by future generations as they like ancient Wayfinders use them to navigate what I am sure will be a continually changing world. But instead of using the stars as fixed points of reference to find their way across the vast and sometimes turbulent ocean, use the eternal truths contained in the scriptures and in the whispering of the Holy Ghost to navigate their way across what can be a vast and sometimes turbulent life, home to their Heavenly Parents and return with Honor.
I'm reminded of a line in The Lord of the Rings Trilogy - "The Return of the King" . When King Theodan is passing, after years of being caught in a mental stupor of anger and apathy for so long, but returned once again to his full strength to inspire his people to stand nobly and save not just Rohan, but Gondor (It's one of the best parts of the movie in my opinion, when almost all hope is lost) To me is the turning point of the entire Trilogy. Wounded in battle and dying he utters these last words to his daughter Eowyn.
"I go to my fathers, in whose mighty company, I shall not now feel ashamed."
I hope in the end, for each of us we will be able to return home to the literal "halls" of our Fathers and Mothers, the greatest of all being our Heavenly Parents and our Savior. In whose Mighty Company we shall not feel ashamed. Hopefully we shall see them as they are, because we will have become like them.
